How to Organize Cricut Machines
In my craft room, when it comes to organizing my Cricut machines I look for options that allow me to store, display, and use my machines. Being able to store and use my Cricut machine in one place makes crafting so much easier.

Budget-Friendly Cricut Organizers
As my crafting and business have grown so have my organization needs. I’m going to walk you through a variety of different organization options. Most of these I have personally used in my craft room.
Let’s start at the beginning. When I first began my Cricut crafting, I started with a cart. There are a few things I want to call out about this specific cart.
This cart can hold three machines. If you only have one machine, you can place it on top and store supplies on the bottom two shelves.
Because I had multiple machines this cart was a perfect option. You can purchase this cart on Amazon. The cart has wheels which makes it easy to roll out, use, and put away whenever needed.
This particular cart is very sturdy. Even with the wheels, I was able to use my Cricut machine right on it.
When shopping for Cricut organization options remember, your machine will move when it’s working. You want a shelf or cart that is sturdy and won’t roll around when in use.
I used this cart for many years. I was able to operate Cricut machines for all of the different levels perfectly. Because it’s open on both sides you can even use the 24″ long mats on it.
Cricut Organizers for Small Spaces
Next, let’s look at another cart option. This particular cart is perfect if you are limited in crafting space.
This cart has foldout tables on both sides. Your Cricut machine can sit right on top and there are two shelves below for storing supplies.
Roll the cart where you want it and then fold out one or both tables. With both tables folded out, it gives you a nice large crafting area.
When you’re done crafting, fold the tables back down and move the cart where you want to store it.
I donated this exact cart with a Cricut machine to a local school for their STEAM program. Their lab-type classroom didn’t have a lot of room for the Cricut and supplies. With this cart, they’re able to store it right where they need it.
I recommend this cart to people who craft in a small area because of the extra space it gives.
This cart is only available at Michaels. I wanted to give you a few other options that are great for small spaces and available on Amazon.
They’re not the same but are good options and have great reviews. I haven’t used these carts personally but they look like really good options.

How Risers Add More Space for Crafting
Now that we’ve talked about carts, let’s look at how to add space to your crafting without a cart.
If you use your Cricut machine on a desk or a table, adding risers to the bottom gives you more crafting space.
I actually had my son build me a custom wood shelf for the back of my desk so I could raise the Cricut machines up.
My goal was to fit more Cricut machines in the space I had. I had Cricut machines on top of the shelf and on the bottom.
If you don’t have multiple machines you can always use the additional space for crafting supplies or as an open crafting area.
Don’t worry if you don’t have someone to build you a custom shelf. You can find risers right on Amazon, Etsy, and different places like that. With these risers, you attach them to your machine and it raises it up off the surface.
Organizing Cricut Machines on Shelves
The next option is to store your Cricut machines on shelves. I’ve had shelves that are open on both the front and back allowing me to use the Cricut machine right on the shelves as long as they’re pulled away from the wall.
If your shelves have a back, I have seen people cut a slot in the back for the mat to slide in and out of. If you’re trying to make what you have work, this is a great option.
Shelves are a great option if you want to take advantage of the vertical height in your space. If you are operating a lot of Cricut machines at once, shelves may be the answer for you.
I was able to find shelves very similar to mine on Amazon. I’ve used these for years and they’re great for organizing multiple Cricut machines.

DreamBox Cricut Organizers
Recently I made over my craft room and now I use a DreamBox for my Cricut organizing.
All of my Cricut machines are stored in the DreamBox. It can easily hold one machine or many machines depending on what you need.
I have been asked if I recommend the DreamBox often since getting it and I do highly recommend it.
I’ve found that it’s well worth the price and has been a game-changer in my space.
There are different options for the setup. I chose the shorter middle section so I could store more machines in my DreamBox. They do have a longer middle section option that you can choose as well.
The DreamBox has a fold-out table that allows you to use your Cricut machines right in the DreamBox. I am a huge fan of the top lighting that lights up the work surface perfectly.
The very best thing about the DreamBox is that, if needed, you can close the whole thing up and hide all of your crafting supplies and machines.
If you don’t have a dedicated crafting space, the DreamBox is a beautiful furniture piece that can be opened up or tucked away as needed.
