How to Cut Cards with a Cricut Machine

Don’t want to cut these cards by hand? You can also use the print then cut feature of your Cricut machine to make these DIY teacher gifts.

Start by uploading the JPG file that you downloaded from your email into Cricut Design Space. As you upload, remove both the background from around the cards as well as the black circles with the selection tool.

Then save as a print then cut image.

To ensure your cards are the right size, type “7.75” into the width box at the top and ensure the dimensions are locked. That will make everything exactly the size it needs to be.

resize in cricut design space

If you have a large format printer, you can print all four cards at once. However, if you can only print on 8 1/2 x 11 paper, you will need to slice away one of the cards. Add a square to your canvas and put over just one of the cards. Pick everything and click slice.

Then remove everything except for that single card and click make it. At this point, you will have one card on one sheet of paper. You can add copies on this screen but note that only two cards will fit on one sheet of paper.

Then just click continue and print and cut your design with your Cricut machine. You will assemble the cards in the same way as the ones cut with scissors above.
